ハワイのローカルが使う英語がある。
アメリカ本土では通じないので,用心。
以下,メモ(ハワイ語も混じってます)。

aloha = hello, goodbye, or love
mahalo = thank you
a hui hou = see you later
Howzit? = How's it going?
e komo mai = please come inside
shoots = ok
dakine = anything
brah = man, friend
akamai = smart
brok' do mout = delicious

slippah = sandal
kokua = help
lanai = veranda
hale = house
puka = hole
choke = many
mauka = towards the mounatin
makai = towards the sea
grind = eat
haole = foreigner

ohana = family
wahine = women
kane = men
keiki = child
pau = done
hana = work
pau hana = work is done
hana hou = encore
bumbye = by and by, later
geev'um = go for it

junk = no good : The weather's junk.
mo bettah = much better
no ka oi = best
chicken skin = scary, excited
shaka(hand sign) = Everything's fine.
kapu = off limits
pupu = apetizer
auwe = Oh, no.
boonies = rural
cockaroach = to steal

garans = guaranteed, for sure
hui = pool money
aunty/uncle = Mr/Ms
huhu = angry
kolohe =rascal, playful
hele = go forward; Hele on! = Do your best!
any kine = whatever
lolo = to act crazy
moe moe = to sleep
talk story = to socialize

fo' real? = For real?
habut(habutai) = feeling sorry for yourself
kama'aina = resident of Hawaii
no ack = no act, be sincere
tutu = grandmother
holo holo = to cruise around for fun
uku = infinite(originally from head lice)
poho = wasteful
Jan Ken Po = Rock, Paper, Scissors

また,ハワイの人は疑問形の最後に,しばしばyeah?をつけます。
さらに面白いのは,Can./ No can.という表現。
日本の中学生が使いそうな英語で興味深いです。
けど,実際,これがハワイで使われている表現なのですね。
